St. Andrew Bay is home to one of the world’s largest resident populations of bottlenose dolphins, the iconic gray dolphins that most people are familiar with from television, movies, and marine parks. The dolphins of St. Andrew Bay are wild animals but they are accustomed to the presence of people and it is common for boaters on the Bay to find themselves among a group of swimming, feeding, and playing dolphins.

All-Inclusive Dolphin Swimming: Children aged 6-12 years must be accompanied at all times by a paying adult, who will also be participating in the dolphin swimming experience. SeaVenture or Shark Swim: Children between 10 and 13 years old must be accompanied at all times by an adult who is also taking part in the experience.

Wear appropriate, comfortable clothing. You have selected the dolphin swim experience. We recommend wearing full-body suits for women and shorter swimsuits to men.

Choose from one of the many local outfitters and set out on a daytime or evening sightseeing tour, exploring St. Andrews Bay and the clear waters around Shell Island. You can find them in the water of our beaches including South Walton and Miramar Beaches, Inlet Beach, Inlet Beach, etc. You can see them best between May and August, when the females are closer to shoreline to mate. It is forbidden to touch dolphins, even though they are friendly!
